As a condition of using this website, you agree to comply with and be subject to all of the following terms and conditions of use.
When joining Promis Network Pty Ltd (Promis) via the website, you confirm that all the details that you have provided are true and correct. If you choose to connect an accounting system to Promis, we will read the following data: Entity details (including Name, ABN, address, phone and user details). We use this to update your contact details in your client and supplier accounting systems when you interact with them. Chart of accounts and tax rates (incl. BSB and account number for bank accounts). We use these as choices for expense accounts, bank accounts and tax settings when syncing invoices and payments. Contacts (incl. Name, ABN, contact details) to simplify the process of you inviting your contacts Invoices and credit notes you create to your clients (in the initial setup, all invoices that have an amount due; then only new and changed invoices). We send the details to your clients (incl. line descriptions, unit amounts, quantities, discounts, invoice numbers, date and due date and a pdf if available), but never your account or tax settings. Payments and credit note allocations to update the Promis app with the changes you make in your accounting system. These details are never shared with anyone.
When you choose to sync incoming supplier bills with your accounting system, or pay a bill or one of your clients pays you through Promis, we push the following data into your accounting system (if authorised). Contacts (including name, ABN, contact details) are updated where we can find a match, otherwise a new contact will be created within your accounting system. Bills and credit notes you accept or pay within Promis. It includes the details as above, but we add your own (expense) account and tax rate details. Payments where we have confirmation from the bank that the payment has been successful. All invoices/bills are always paid off from a Promis Balance account with an aggregated transfer to your bank account. This will match the actual transactions in your physical bank account so reconciliation is simple.
In the next phase of Promis, we'll offer you the ability to receive payments from your clients and automate the payment to your suppliers. We will update the Terms & Conditions with all relevant details and will notify you by email of these additions.
While we build the network Promis is free. Once enough of your suppliers are on board, you will receive an invitation to turn on the full service for a 30 day trial period. Once this trial period expires, we'll offer you to downgrade to a free version (for consumers) or a pay as you go version (for businesses). For the paid premium services all of our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include goods and services tax (GST) where applicable. We'll publish pricing as soon as we have worked it out. Prices are subject to change without notice.
We want you to enjoy Promis. If we cannot deliver a service to your satisfaction you are entitled to a full refund for up to 30 days. No additional refunds are available.

Similar to other commercial Web sites, our Web site utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” (see explanation below) and Web server logs to collect information about how our Web site is used. Information gathered through cookies and Web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our Web site, and the Web sites visited just before and just after our Web site, your IP address. A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a Web site, that site's computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each Web site can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a Web site to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.
IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the Internet. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer. IP addresses are automatically collected by our web server as part of demographic and profile data known as “traffic data” so that data (such as the Web pages you request) can be sent to you.
If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received online, mail and telephone.
Children are not eligible to use our web site and services and we ask that minors (under the age of 13) do not submit any personal information to us. If you are a minor, you can use this site only in conjunction with permission and guidance from your parents or guardians.
For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, Promis uses software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. We also encrypt all interaction with our website and have followed the PCI protocol to harden our server security. In addition, we are working with an authorised intruder to continually monitor our systems and processes for maximum security. Email is not recognized as a secure medium of communication. For this reason, we request that you do not send private information to us by email. However, doing so is allowed, but at your own risk. Some of the information you may enter on our Web site may be transmitted securely via a secure medium known as Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL. Credit Card information is never transmitted via email. Promis may use software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas.
